Company Background

Property Sciences was founded as a real estate consulting and appraisal company in 1984 with the goal of serving commercial mortgage professionals by delivering fair and reasonable real estate collateral decisions at competitive prices.
A residential appraisal group was started in 1986 to assist commercial lender clients improve service levels and grow residential originations.
In 1993 and again in 1994, Property Sciences was named as one of America’s fastest growing companies by INC. magazine (#201 in 1993 and #254 in 1994.)
In 1995 Property Sciences founded Commercial Lender magazine as a tool for its mortgage clients, which grew into the largest distributed commercial real estate finance publication in the United States.
C-Lender.com, an online version of the magazine and business portal, was launched in 1999 and generated over $800 million in loan referrals in its first 12 months.
Commercial Lender magazine and C-Lender.com were sold to Scotman Publishing in 2001.
Today, Property Sciences believes that it is the market share leader in both commercial and residential appraisals in Northern California.
In addition, the company has a strong and growing presence in Southern California.
With large residential and commercial appraisal practices serving the entire state, Property Sciences is uniquely positioned against highly fragmented competitors that typically provide fewer services over smaller regions.
